MCB Quantico is home to a wide range of institutions that serve the Marine Corps. The Corps’ Combat Development Command is responsible for developing strategies for Marine combat and also includes the Marine Corps Officer Candidates School. The Marine Corps Research Center at Quantico pursues equipment research and development, especially in the field of telecommunications, for the Marine Corps. Quantico is also home to the Marine Corps Brig, a military prison.
